NorthCare Charity Collection Volunteer

As part of raising vital funds and awareness of what the charity does to support the hospital patients, their families and our staff we hold a number of fundraising/information stalls. The stalls range from begin held in the hospital to large events in the community. Volunteers can provide support that we can call on to help in a number of ways.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

This could be running a stall, preparing the stall kit with merchandise and banking the monies raised. You would be expected to promote our appeals and events, taking donations, and talking about the work we do. Engaging with our services users and members of our communities requires great interpersonal skills with an approachable manner.

Training:

We will give you a full briefing before the collection takes place to ensure you're well informed of which projects and appeals we are promoting.

Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
Skill and Qualifications Required:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Show commitment to support patients, relatives, donors and visitors
• Be reliable
• Enthusiastic and pro-active attitude
• Work well as part of a team
• Understand the importance of confidentiality
