Valley Farm Support Assistant

At Valley Farm we offer several activity groups during the week for people with long-term health issues. Some of our attendees need additional support in order to join in and so we are looking for volunteer assistants.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

- Liaising with the attendee to check they’re attending (if the person/people you’re supporting can’t attend, you don’t need to come, but can if you wish to)
- If they need a lift, liaising with them to arrange when you will collect them, and then taking them home at the end of the session. Mileage costs can be covered.
- Supporting the person throughout the session, ensuring they have understood instructions, and are feeling comfortable and happy

- DBS check (we can assist with getting this if you don’t already have one)
- Good standard of spoken English
- Reasonable level of mobility
- Optional: Full clean driving licence (if supporting someone who needs a lift)
- Optional: Female (depending on the person being supported)
- Optional: British Sign Language competent

Thursdays 10:00-11:30 Bushcraft club
Fridays 10:00-12:00 Volunteer and conservation group
