Fitness Activities Leader

To engage clients in activities which will help improve their fitness and well-being, engaging and motivating them to make positive life changes.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

Working under the direction of the Service Manager and other staff members:
1. Take part in a regular scheduled fitness group, supporting the leader in keeping clients interested and engaged.
2. Accompany clients who are interested in attending the local gym and supporting them to take part.
3. Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are followed.
4. Complete Risk Assessments for approval before any activity takes place.
5. Research fitness activities that clients can attend, such as swimming, team games etc.
6. Help to support staff with the walking group activities.
7. Help to network and connect with voluntary, community and faith organisations to broaden the activities offer.

1. Motivated to help others and disadvantaged groups
2. Good interpersonal skills
3. Non- judgemental
4. Friendly and enthusiastic
5. Passionate about being active and staying healthy
