Befriending Support Volunteer

Finding Rainbows is a non-profit organisation that offers support to anyone who has suffered the loss of a baby, child or through early pregnancy loss. We operate in Tameside and Greater Manchester but reach out across the UK and further to individuals and families seeking support. We are recruiting Befriending Support Volunteers to provide online, telephone and face to face support who are compassionate, caring and non-judgmental. We are very enthusiastic that all of the Finding Rainbows team members and volunteers are provided with an opportunity to expand their skills and be offered training which will equip them with skills necessary to work with vulnerable adults and young people.

About the host organisation

Hosted by: Finding Rainbows
Organisation Profile: We are a local bereavement support group in Tameside. Primarily we support individuals and families who have suffered the loss of a child. This includes children of all ages and early pregnancy loss and babies born asleep. We offer one to one and group support via a range of forums and activities and are able to help families in other areas of their life which they may be struggling with as a result of their loss such as debt, ill health and family life. We work closely with other community groups and agencies to ensure the best possible care is available for our families. We are passionate about health awareness and prevention and run community based training and events to promote safety, health and wellbeing.
