Shop Assistant Volunteer – Royton

We are looking for volunteers who strive to be brilliant – it’s not just money that keeps the cogs turning here at Forget Me Not, it’s the gift of time from our fantastic army of volunteers. Volunteering in our charity shops are a great way to socialise, give back to your local community and for some gain valuable some experience.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

There’s a variety of tasks from working behind the scenes sorting and pricing stock to in the shop helping to display goods for sale and serving customers.

Training:

All our volunteers are encouraged to attend training and volunteer meetings whenever possible.

Skill and Qualifications Required:

It is helpful if you have done this sort of work before, however it is not essential because you will be trained to do the tasks we ask you to do. If you work in the shop you will need to be comfortable talking to members of the public and handling money.
