RBH Community Fund

Aims/priorities:

Each year Rochdale Boroughwide Housing make grants of up to £5000 available to local groups for the benefit of our communities. We are currently able to award grants that enable the delivery of the following objectives: 

Community Justice Fund – Improving Lives Through Advice Grants Programme

Aims/priorities: The funding is intended to ensure continued access to specialist social welfare legal advice to some of the most marginalised communities in England and aims to transform lives, address systemic issues, and empower individuals, families, and communities in need by funding organisations working at the frontline.

Marginalised communities is defined for the purposes of this grant programme as ‘communities of place, people or interest most in need, experiencing exclusion and at risk of facing barriers to accessing advice services’.

DCMS – Know Your Neighbourhood Fund

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support voluntary creative groups in designated Know Your Neighbourhood areas across England to promote and deliver targeted creative activities to support people at risk of loneliness and isolation.

Who can apply? Voluntary creative groups in designated areas across England can apply.  

Grant amount: There are two tiers of funding available:

Equilibrium Foundation – Community Support Scheme

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support a variety of projects and activities that make local communities a better place and improve the lives of those within it, such as through sports, arts, education, helping the disadvantaged or improving the environment.

Who can apply? Any not-for-profit organisation that makes a positive difference to the community is encouraged to apply, however, applicants not normally considered include:

Scops Arts Trust

Aims/priorities: The aim of the Trust is to give people of all ages a better quality of life by enabling them to understand, participate in and enjoy the arts, particularly the performing arts (music, drama, opera and dance).

Who can apply? The Trust mostly supports registered charities.

Applications will also be considered from social enterprises, community groups, and other third sector organisations, as long as they are formally constituted and have clear charitable purposes.

New Prevention Networks set to launch in Rochdale Borough this September

This September, Action Together are delighted to be launching our new Prevention Networks across the borough of Rochdale.

Delivered in partnership with Public Health, our Prevention Networks are a space in each township, bringing together public sector, VCFSE sector and community leaders to build local relationships, understand the neighbourhood together and share information about Health and Wellbeing.

Northern Railway - Customer and Community Improvement Fund 2023

Aims/priorities:

As the largest passenger train operator outside of London, Northern connects people and communities across the North of England. But it’s not just about running trains; we are committed to making a positive difference wherever we can, and this is reflected in our vision, which is ‘to make a positive impact for the North in all we do and for all we serve’.
