Aims/priorities: Are you working with a client living in Oldham who has rent or mortgage arrears?
This fund is for homelessness prevention, so clients in a range of situations may be eligible for help.
Once referred, we aim to contact the client within 5 working days, unless there are emergencies.
We cannot provide in-depth housing advice (we do not currently have housing specialists) but we can give initial advice and signpost / refer on if necessary.
Who can apply? Individuals.
Clients seeking support must either:
- have already received debt/housing advice from another source or,
- be willing to have advice from us.
Grant amount: We can assist in possibly providing a one-off grant of up to £500.
All payments are made directly to the Landlord / Housing Association / Mortgage Provider / Insolvency Service.

Please make sure you have consent from the client for the referral and consent for us to share their data with Oldham Council.
We also would need proof of the arrears and if any advice has been provided.
Deadline: The fund is limited, so we will keep you informed if the funds are running low.
