The Greater Manchester Equality Alliance (GM=EqAl), hosted by GMCVO, brings together the voices and experience of people and communities who face disadvantage, prejudice and marginalisation in order to influence policy making in Greater Manchester.

It aims to ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of decision making at the highest levels in all governance structures across the sub-region.

To do this it is growing its network to include individuals and organisations from every sector who want to see rapid progress on equality. Please sign up to the network whether you represent an ethnic minority community neighbourhood group, work for an equalities organisation, have responsibility for workforce diversity at a local authority, or lead on equality and inclusion at GM level – your needed in the GM=EqAl network!

It is also seeking new members for the GM=EqAl Working Group - this call is for people from the voluntary community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector who would like to be involved in the core activities of GM=EqAl.

Do you have an in-depth understanding of particular areas of inequality, and strong connections to relevant communities and networks? Or can you think of a friend or colleague whose experience and expertise mean they should have access to this platform? Applicants do not have to already be involved already in strategic work – support will be given as needed.

Please find out more information here, or register your interest here.

Deadline for expressions of interest in the GM=EqAl Working Group: Wednesday 19 August 2020.
