About the host organisation
Hosted by: Redeeming Our CommunitiesOrganisation Profile:Redeeming Our Communities (ROC) is a national charity founded in 2004 with over 200 projects, operational and under construction throughout the UK. The charity’s main aim is to bring about community transformation by creating strategic partnerships, including various combinations of statutory agencies, voluntary groups, faith organisations and others, which open up opportunities for crime and disorder reduction, positive community engagement and improved community cohesion. Through our flagship ROC Restore and ROC Mentoring projects, this partnership approach has seen crime and anti-social behaviour fall and fresh hope brought to some of the most deprived and challenging areas of the UK, urban and rural alike. These partnerships form and manage volunteer-led projects, supported by ROC’s management team and staff; that address a range of social needs and have a significant impact on the individuals, partners and communities involved. As a result, statutory agencies have improved access to the ongoing support of more community/faith groups, and volunteers are enabled to better serve the needs of their community into the future.
